Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an athlete to purchase an online program?

No. While we provide online coaching to athletes who want to improve their athletic ability, our programs are bespoke and suited to your individual aspirations. Whether your goal is weight loss, weight gain, muscle toning or just to raise your level of fitness, we are able to help you with just that.

Do I need to have access to a gym to be able to do an online program?

No. If you would like and effective workout program that you can do from the comfort of your own home, click on the “Home Workout” Option.

Do I need to have my own equipment for a home workout program?

While it is not 100% necessary to have your own equipment at home, having some of your own equipment can be helpful. We do recommend purchasing a few items depending on your goals to help make your program more diverse. But the good news is, you won’t have to break the bank and you might already have some things at home that you haven’t thought about as “gym equipment.” Workout equipment such as resistance bands, mini resistance bands, a medicine ball, TRX suspension unit, or sliders are good home workout tools to look into. If you have concerns about costs, we are happy to point you in the right direction of the best price. On average, you can create a nice home workout space for about £35.

Can athletes still benefit from a home workout program?

Absolutely! Athletes can benefit from a home workout program, but it will depend on your goals for your sport, age and training ability on how much you will benefit from it. An athlete who will benefit the most from a home workout are youth athletes (ages 12-18) beginning athletes, or those whose goal it is to increase general fitness levels and improve mobility and core stability. For athletes that are too young to go to the gym on their own, then we recommend a home workout program with the use of some equipment. If you are a very experienced athlete who is familiar with the gym, you will probably need more than just a home workout program to increase strength, acceleration and power.

What type of training experience do I need to have before starting an online program?

Our online programs are bespoke and are created fit your personal ability and skill level.

The main difference is that with beginner programs, we focus on proper technique and making sure you have a solid foundation of strength before progressing to heavier weights or more complex exercise. If you are a beginner, we recommend that you take full advantage of checking in with us via video chat, so that we can make sure you are doing the foundational movements correctly.

How do I know I am doing my program correctly? How do I contact you if I need help?

We offer face to face consultations and sessions (London area only), video sessions, email access, phone access and demonstrational videos so that you can learn how to your program correctly and feel comfortable with it.

What is the age limit on the online training?

The online training can be suited for anyone ages 12 and up.

Why is the age limit so low? Is it safe for youth athletes train?

We want to be a resource available for youngers and youth athletes so that they are able train safely and effectively. We want to encourage the younger generation to stay fit and help teach them healthy habits that they can use throughout their lives. As long as there are no injuries present or your doctor has said that it is unsafe to participate in exercise, then yes, it is absolutely safe! We have been weight training youth athletes from the ages of 10 for 5 years and for more information on the safety of youth athletes and training, check out our blog “Youth Athletes Should not be Lifting!!: An Old School Myth”

How do you incorporate mindfulness into the online training program?

The mindfulness part of the program is 100% optional, but if you have something that you are personally trying or improve on, there is an option to let us know in the client information form which is confidential. If you are perusing an induvial passion, struggle with confidence or negative self-talk, we put together a document on certain tools and activities you can do to help you achieve those aspirations. We believe that being physically healthy brings us one step closer to being mentally healthy and the purpose of the mindfulness document is to help you discover your own connections with the mind and body. If you are an athlete, we use mindfulness tools in a way that apply to your sport and help make you a better athlete. Whether you want to improve at a certain skill, improve your gameday mindset or improve confidence, we can point out certain practices that could help. Different tools will work better for different people, so it is up to you to decide what works best for you. We will also share with you further readings on the topic of mindfulness and the importance of a healthy mindset in everyday life.
